Driving in Provence

Growing up, we didn’t travel beyond family road trips to visit other family, once a year, most often in August. Despite the somewhat limited means of my early vacation experiences, I have always had an insatiable hunger to get up and go, as much and as often as possible.

With work, I’ve traveled all over the country as an event designer and planner, overseeing and assisting on events internationally, all the while tacking on whatever days off I could manage to try and capitalize on the experience.

For me, travel is a basic necessity. It’s a part of survival. It’s not just about refreshment to me. It’s about making the most of every moment, gaining experience, perspective, knowledge (including a few recipes!), and passion along the way. It encapsulates what Life Savoured is all about.

Present day. Our traveling pair is now a ‘foursome’, and one of us is no longer a ‘lap infant’. For a lot of people, this would mean something should have to give. But instead, we’re both even more committed to making sure we keep on traveling for our own sanity, even with kids in tow.
